Food and drink in the bar
Settle into our stylish and relaxed club style bar and enjoy the full menu or just a snack. Dogs are very welcome and a regular presence in the bar. Pull up a cosy leather armchair by the wood-burner, relax with friends in the library room, or if the weather is fine sit by the fountain in the honeyed stone courtyard.
Local craft beers and regularly changing ales plus West Country ciders can be found behind the bar. There’s a glorious wine list, a fine gin selection and incredible cocktails from classic to cutting-edge.
Please note, the kitchen is closed briefly on Monday between 3pm -6pm (except on public holidays).
Our relaxed restaurant uses the finest ingredients to serve delicious, unfussy, seasonal food. Wherever possible this is local, wild and organic. The menus are always inventive, with a modern British foundation and an international twist. We are loyal to our suppliers, whether it is our local farmer, or Jim Baker and his organic old spot pigs in Wedmore!
Our menu is overseen by Tom Blake, Executive Chef, alongside Head Chef, George Carter.
Hot Food, Snacks and Small Plates are available all day.
We welcome children and have a kid’s menu for them to choose from or they can choose smaller versions of some of the dishes on the main menu.
