We open our doors at 9am and hot and cold food is served all day every day. Our relaxed restaurant uses the finest ingredients to serve delicious, unfussy, seasonal food. Wherever possible this is local, wild and organic. The menus are always inventive, with a modern British foundation and an international twist. We are loyal to our suppliers, whether it is our local farmer, or Jim Baker and his organic old spot pigs in Wedmore! Our menu is overseen by Tom Blake, Executive Chef, alongside Head Chef, Dan Jeal.
Serving Times
Breakfast is served from 9.00am – 11am (or earlier if pre-booked or a resident in the hotel) every day of the week.
A full menu is available from 12-9.00pm every day except Tuesday when the kitchen is briefly closed between 3pm and 6pm, and on Fri and Sat the kitchen is open until 9.30pm.
Our Sunday roasts are legendary. We serve a sensational and hearty Sunday menu, all day Sunday from midday through to 9pm.
If you are planning a larger gathering, The Assembly Room is a splendid space. Its grand windows have vistas out to Shaftesbury’s picturesque centre and it is very adaptable. It can seat up to 80 people theatre-style. Options such as a boardroom table seating up to a maximum of 32 people or round tables for seating up to 52 can be arranged.
Contact us if you are planning an event in Shaftesbury and we can discuss your specific needs. Our professional team will help you organise the event to ensure it runs perfectly.
We welcome children and have a kid’s menu for them to choose from or they can choose smaller versions of some of the dishes on the main menu.
Dogs are welcome in the bar and conservatory, where we serve our full restaurant menu, and they can stay in any of the rooms making The Grosvenor Arms the perfect place for a dog-friendly break.
